Energy conservation is the practice of using less energy in order to lower costs. This could be in the form of using fewer energy services or using devices that require less energy. Refraining from using services or products is one way to conserve energy, but this can also be done by using more energy-efficient products designed to consume less energy than their standard counterparts. Energy conservation is a big part of sustainability and sustainable development. 

Energy can only be transformed from one form to other, such as heat energy to motive power in cars, or kinetic energy of water flow to electricity in hydroelectric power plants. most often than not machines are required to transform energy from one form to other. The wear and friction of the components contained in these machines while running cause losses of very high amounts of energy and very high related costs. The possibility of reducing or minimizing these losses is adopted by using green engineering practices that would improve the lifecycle of the components.

With the advent of technology, energy is not only considered as the future, it’s the major movers and operation of everything. As a global advanced society we generate energy and use more than ever before by our consistent demand and necessities, we have been able to expend more energy production, however, there are limitations attached to our physical, geographical and economic today’s world, energy is not only the future — it drives everything in the present. As a global society, we generate and use more energy than ever before, and the demand for energy is continually increasing. While we have been able to expand energy production to keep up with demand, there are physical, geographical, and economic limits to how much can be produced. More than that greenhouse emission has been accumulating in the atmosphere, that can bring about climate-related consequences. these emissions include fossil fuels and natural gas.

  1. Turning down all appliances when not in use.
  2. Using energy-efficient light bulbs.
  3. Clean or replace air filters.
  4. Reducing the frequent usage of machines.
  5. Cook using the right-sized burner.
